Because your mother is from another generation, she's not likely to ever see your style as being flattering or attractive, which is naturally what a mother wants to see her daughter dress in. That's something you need to accept, and let her know that you understand her point of view. Ask her if there's a compromise you can come to. Remember that at the end of the day, they're clothes and accessories, they don't change you for better or worse, you are the same person with or without them. She's not taking that away from you.
