I'm thinking of a book...?

I'm thinking of a book about a time in the future wherethe government comes into peoples apartments via television, and they edit the newspapers everyday to talk about a war that the government makes up day by day, which is not really happening and the main character meets a woman and they start seeing each other in private at this old house that has a bunch of relics from the old day and together the join the underground revolution and so on. it is really bugging me that i cannot remember the title of this book so if anyone has read it please tell me what it is called please.
