Should I try to keep as many guns as possible?

I have heard time and time again from loyal gun owners that they kick themself for selling a paticular firearm back in the day. I know I don't own anything special (Mossberg 500, Marlin 22 Mag, Mossberg 702, Chinese SKS) and are in great abundance, but do you recommend holding on to every gun you guy to prevent this feeling in the future? I only buy another gun when I save up enough money so that is not an issue and I do plan on collecting and learning some basic gunsmithing in the future. Being 21yrs of age, what advice could you give me? And no wife is going to convince me to sell my collection!!! Thanks.
