How did you move on from your first crush?

I'm in absolute love with my best female friend. Never have i cared or loved a girl like this before in my life. Im a sophmore in high school =p. Being her second best friend after a girl she's known longer than me, i know a lot about her. thing is she rejected me alrdy but i plan to ask her out agn later haha. but atm im trying to move on, so howd you do it?
