Guitar QUESTIONS......?
The 38" guitar is a smaller guitar and is generally used as a travel guitar or a learning guitar for beginners. The 41" is the more typical "standard size" guitar. The shorter guitar has less frets which is ok for a beginner who has not learned to play "up the neck." Because it is smaller, the 38" guitar has a tinnier sound and less volume. And it usually costs a bit less. It is perfect for kids because it is more proportional to their bodies and hands. It is a great guitar to learn on. Go to a real music store and try a few out. Yes, there is a big difference. The short guitar will sound like a toy when compared to a full-sized guitar. If you get a short guitar, as you get better and want to jam with friends, you will definately want to upgrade to a full-sized guitar. If you are a teenager (or above) get a full sized guitar to start with. And get the best you can afford.
